Jinjoo Yang is a Korean artist and architect based in Montreal. Working across video and installation, she develops site-responsive works grounded in direct engagement with specific places. She approaches video as a way to reorganize spatial experience—using controlled movement and multi-channel arrangements to unsettle inherited ways of looking. Recent projects include Coming Home, filmed in the collection storage of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and Occupied, shaped by Cold War infrastructures. Her work has been presented internationally at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Center for Architecture in New York, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, as well as at festivals including Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin.
